Dr. Benjamin Syndergaard attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 2010. He was recognized and awarded the prestigious Quintessential Dental Professional by the UNLV dental faculty. Dr. Syndergaard completed his advanced specialty training in periodontics and implant surgery at the University of Kentucky, where he served as Chief Resident. During his residency, Dr. Syndergaard completed his Masters of Science Degree. He is fluent in Spanish. He is also well trained and certified to administer IV sedation.
Dr. Syndergaard is excited to be returning to the state of Nevada, where he and his wife will raise their five children and make Carson City their home. He enjoys outdoor activities including rock climbing, cycling, and playing golf. Dr. Syndergaard finds great joy in humanitarian charity work. He has been part of the Flying Doctors, 3G Foundation, and Chasqui Humanitarian, volunteering his time and talents to under-served people in Indio, California, the Dominican Republic, and Peru.
Dr. Bauerle a Utah native, he graduated from Westminster College with summa cum laude honors. He then went on to attend dental school at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. It was during dental school that he gravitated toward dental implants and periodontal surgery. After dental school, he was accepted into the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Periodontal program, where he received training in multiple surgical and medical disciplines. Dr. Bauerle received a certificate in Periodontology. In Birmingham, he had the opportunity to work at the Birmingham’s VA Medical Center where he treated veterans.
He is continually updating his skills and knowledge by attending continuing education courses from renowned educators in the field. Dr. Bauerle’s advanced education in gingival surgery, bone augmentation and dental implants allow him to provide cutting edge technology and techniques for the benefit of his patients. He is also well trained and certified to administer IV sedation.
Dr. Bauerle and his wife now call Carson City their home. In their free time they enjoy their four children who keep them very busy.
Dr. Gary Wilcox Jr. is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a proud native of Northern Nevada. He attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine after completing his undergraduate studies at Montana State University and the University of Nevada, Reno. During his undergraduate years, Dr. Wilcox worked as a fishing guide in Alaska and built custom homes with his father.
Dr. Wilcox excelled in dental school academically and technically. He was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society and graduated in the top of his class. During his time there, he also acted as the director for a under-privileged children’s clinic and participated in voluntary mission trips to impoverished countries. In his senior year of dental school, he was accepted to a highly competitive and respected oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in Cincinnati Ohio.
He completed his advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he received broad-scope and in-depth surgical and medical training. After completing his residency training, Dr. Wilcox spent 6 years as a partner in a private practice in Cincinnati. Dr. Wilcox’s clinical interests are wide in scope with a special focus on pathology, orthognathic surgery (jaw repositioning), bone reconstruction, anesthesia, pediatrics, and dental implants. He has significant experience in “All-on-Four” type dental rehabilitation procedures. Dr. Wilcox takes monthly facial trauma call at the Carson Tahoe hospital where he performs his more complicated surgical cases. He is excited to bring his experience to this practice and serve his patients and the greater community.
His desire to return to his Nevada roots and closer to his family brought him back home in early 2020. Dr. Wilcox and his wife have four wonderful children. He enjoys everything about the Nevada outdoors and has a passion for wildlife conservation. He hunts and fishes every chance he gets.
By maintaining Board certification in both Periodonics and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, we are able to offer our patients in-office procedures with IV sedation to ease anxiety and improve patient comfort. Furthermore, by utilizing state of the art equipment, such as our on-site CT scanner, we are able to see the patient’s jawbone and important related anatomy in 3D for safe and optimal dental implant placement.

Dr. Bauerle and Dr. Syndergaard are Board certified Periodontists and Dr. Wilcox is a Board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
